Gift cards by Wendy Sharpe AM

Give a gift that changes a life

Four original portraits of young women from our partner programs, painted by one of Australia’s most celebrated artists. Every pack sold supports a young woman’s tertiary education.

The story behind the cards

Art in service of education

Wendy Sharpe AM is one of Australia’s most acclaimed artists. She has won the Archibald Prize, the Sulman Prize and the Portia Geach Memorial Award, and in 2023 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her service to the visual arts and to the community.

Wendy partnered with Women for Change to paint a portrait of one student from each of our partner programs, in Kenya, India and Nepal. Each painting has become a card, so the women whose futures your gift supports are the women you see.

On the back of every card you’ll find a short story about the student, a QR code to learn more, and a note about Women for Change.

Discover more of Wendy’s work on her website and follow her on Instagram @wendysharpeart.

If you educate a young woman, you change a community. These cards carry that message into every home they reach.
